Alexandra and Romeo Litor, a young, energetic, Parisian couple made the move to Connecticut from Paris, France in 2004. Alexandra’s education at the University of Connecticut was the reason for moving to New England. Shortly after that, they bought the authentic French bakery, La Petite France in the picturesque town of Stafford Springs, Connecticut. Since buying the bakery, the couple has been following their dream of sharing their passion for authentic French baked goods.
In 2009 they made an old friend and former school mate of Alexandra’s, Géraldine O’Neill, a partner at the bakery in order to open a second location in West Hartford. Alexandra and Géraldine are alumni of the Management School of Lyon in France and Romeo used to be a baker.
La Petite France is proud to offer fresh, artisanal pastries, breads and cakes which are baked daily. The traditional French bread, baguette, which is golden and crusty on the outside and houses a fluffy, white, lightly butter-flavored center, as well as beautifully flaky butter croissants and fruit tarts are all offered at La Petite France.
